Not your normal Slumber Party!

Morning, everyone!
I am SO pleased to bring one of my friends on the blog today to promote her business.
Her business allows her so many opportunities and so much freedom.
So much freedom she can work, do this business and be a wonderful mother all at the same time.
So, WELCOME!

I'm so excited to be a guest for Bride Eyed & Bushy Tailed!
So excited that I'm doing this instead getting my tail to bed. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kelli and I "work" for a company called Slumber Parties.
Yes, that means I do THOSE parties. It can get wild, crazy, and always full of laughs but the best part about it is educating and empowering women. Our parties are awesome 'cause you try before you buy!
Calm down there's only so much you can share!
We don't cross any lines, after all that's what Slumber Parties was founded on roughly 20 years ago.

So why am I here on Bride Eyed and Bushy Tailed? Well, everyone usually spends months leading up to The Big Day prepping and daydreaming, but you CAN NOT forget a good bachelorette party when it comes to getting married! My bachelorette parties center on celebrating the Bride and getting her ready for that sexy honeymoon and beyond! The bride will get 10% of the party sales to shop with and throughout the night we play games to add percentage points to that number. That's right! The more the party-goers spend, the more goodies the bride gets and the more rocking her wedding night will be! That really is the BEST gift!

Ok, now, I know what you’re thinking, "Whoa, whoa, I don’t think this kind of party is for me." Of course it is! I've had girls so shy they wouldn't even pass a certain kind of product to the next girl, to wild ones that literally pulled her "girls" out in the middle of a party.
No matter the personality, I've never had a girl that DIDN'T have a great time.

Here are just a few of my favorite products:

Coochy, a rash free shave cream. This stuff does the trick! If you get little red bumps every time you shave this will be a lifesaver! Who really wants nasty razor burn on their wedding day or your bridal party?! You want your girls to look great!

Basic Instinct is a perfume, but not your everyday perfume. It’s for men and women and it works off of your body chemistry to release a unique-to-you scent! Not only that, but its pheromone infused! You and your whole wedding party will smell sexy and fantastic!

Last but not least, the hot heart massager. Simply pop the circle in the center and the hot heart heats up instantly. Let this amazing product melt away the stress of rehearsal dinners, invitations, decorations, traveling family members, etc. It will stay hot for about 45 minutes and just boil it when you are done to reuse it again and again. It goes great with a massage oil or lotion!

Don’t believe me? Want to try one for yourself?
Well, head over to my Facebook page and enter to win a free one before Sunday at 9p.m.!

Nail Discoveries!

I discovered the most wonderful things today, and by wonderful, I mean life changing. For me, anyway.
Today, I realized, that instead of spending a ton on nail art pens, there is a MUCH simpler solution.
PERMANENT. MARKERS.
Which happens to not be permanent when you use a clear base coat to protect your nails.
This magical discovery is something that I must share with you.

Obviously you need some kind of permanent marker. Most people choose Sharpie, but I choose whatever is the cheapest and what gives me the most bang for my buck. Lots of color choices help, though. I got this pack of BIC permanent markers at Walmart for around $12. There are 24 in this pack. I would choose fine tipped markers but you can choose thicker to fit what you would like them for.
I chose the two markers that I wanted, you can use as many as you want. I like the peach and the grey. Different color chevron stripes were what I was going for. I also grabbed a tub of Vaseline and a paintbrush.  Why?
Paint around your nails with the Vaseline! You could also use Elmer's glue but I have found that while Elmer's Glue makes painting nails a lot less messy, Vaseline works just as well.
To use Elmer's Glue you have to wait for the glue to dry around your nails, then paint them.
For Vaseline, all you have to do is put it around your nails and go. No peeling off or waiting, the polish just washes right off along with it (not to mention it moisturizes instead of dries!)
I decided that I wanted a white background under the marker.
HOWEVER.
Make sure you use clear coat if you are NOT using a color under the marker.
It WILL stain your nails!
After the clear coat or color, you can draw your design in the markers on your nails.
You can either let the marker dry so it doesn't smear and put another clear coat on
OR
Apply clear coat right away to give a smeared look.
Obviously I wanted the smeared look.
(It was my first time doing this so please pardon how messy it looks)
Also, here's another little hint: PAM spray dries your nails instantly.
Just spray right over your fingers and nails.
(This is why my fingers are slightly shiny.)

I am so pleased with how this has turned out. There are endless color possibilities and endless design ideas.
The best part is, if you feel like you messed it up, just wipe it right off before it dries!
COMPLETE MAGIC.

Bridal mood boards.

Years ago, probably two, I discovered a wonderful little tool called Polyvore.
Polyvore is where this girl/anyone can design fashion sets, interior design boards, or anything really.
While a lot of people use them for regular fashion, I tend to use them for my bridal mood boards, which I made over one year ago when I first became interested in the bridal industry.
Here is a look back at my most memorable bridal boards.
Painterly Hues
Painterly Hues: An artistic wedding.

Fallen Hues
Fallen Hues: Obviously Fall inspired.

Cookie Cutter Tones
Cookie Cutter Tones: for the pastel lover.

Cherry Tones.
Cherry Tones: For a more summery look.

Spicy Tones
Spicy Tones: for a more dramatic flair.

Thistled Blues
Thistled Blues: Cinderella, anyone?

Feathers & Cream!
The Knot, Cream and Feathers: Inspired by an old issue of The Knot and a love for The Great Gatsby.

I've been your soft & sweet, you've been my strong & steady.

Good morning beautiful world! Please excuse the gush, but today, is a VERY special day.
Two years ago today, I said "Yes."
Not to getting engaged or married, but to entering the best relationship and family I have ever known.
(Seriously, how pretty is mom and how cute is dad?)
Two years ago today, I said "Yes" to being my honeybee's girlfriend.
Over these two years we have been through so very much.
I graduated high school, I went to college three hours away.
He graduated and we got a kitten.
He proposed and I transferred colleges.
He got an amazing job and bought a brand new beautiful truck.
These two years have flown by faster than I could have ever believed. It's crazy to think we've been through two graduations, two birthdays each, two different schools, two Christmases, two amazing summers and two of so many more things. (Two is my favorite number!).
Soon, we will be making our second trip to Corolla, which will mark one year since we got engaged and our little baby Sofia (who isn't such a baby anymore) will be one.
What's next?
What ever else life holds for us.
Always and Forever.

Desktop Organizers!

The other day while I was reading my blogroll, I came across the most brilliant idea anyone ever had:
A way to organize desktop icons.
I never even bothered putting icons on my screen because I HATED the clutter and how ugly it looked. I hated all of the lines and bundles and overall panic.

When I came across a post on iheartorganizing from her team member at Pretty Fluffy, I couldn't stand not making one of these beautiful desktop organizers.
I even have some right here for you to use and if the labels don't suit you, you can easily go open it on paint and change them to whatever you want in what font and colors you want!
I made these entirely on paint with some lovely help from Lilly Pulitzer's desktop backgrounds!

I'm not going to lie, Lilly is my total fave!
Go over and check out the original post!

Wedding Hair, Don't Care.

When it comes to hair, I am one fussy lady.
I can not just wear my hair down in a middle part or a side part, it HAS to be pulled back.
Either half-up/half-down or in a ponytail or braid.
My hair can't be just natural, it has to be straightened or curled or else it's a mess.
When it comes to wedding hair, I refuse to be any less picky obnoxious.
That being said, here are my extremely thought out picks for my hair-do.

If my hair is half-up, half-down, it has to be curly. I love love love me some pretty curls.
The bow on the left is my love but those flowers on the right just take my breath away.
But if it's up, it will be sweet, classy, and a beautiful low bun.
Pretty flowers or bows are a must for me.
Simple, yet intricate. Pretty and classy.
Perfect for a rustic wedding.

Colors, Designs, and Choices! Oh My!

I have an extremely crazy obsession with nail polish lately. I have NO idea why.
Well, yeah I do: Pretty colors, ability to change them non-stop, and make any design.
My favorites:
This got me wondering, what will I maybe want my wedding nails to look like?
How broad are the choices? Lace, polka dots, flowers, chevron, glitter?!
Way too many to choose! These are some of the best ones that I have seen.
I would love to have scalloped nails in Honeysuckle and white!
Or Ombre going from pink to white.
What are your favorite nail designs and what would you suggest for a rustic wedding?
