{1} Describe your dating life prior to finding your husband/boyfriend/fiance. 

I was on and off in relationships and then was in a serious relationship for three and a half years. I won't go into that for the sake of my sanity. I ended that relationship and everything changed for me. I didn't focus on pleasing anyone but myself so I was on and off again until Jason. Even then, as I'm known for saying the silliest things, I said "Don't get you're hopes up, I like three other people." We all know how that one turned out! Thank God!

{2} Describe him in one word. How would he describe you in one word?

    Helpful. Not only has he helped me sort out every single one of my past problems and anxieties, but legitimately took them all away from then to now. Since I could be so open with him, anxiety has never been a problem.  He is also helpful because his wonderful father taught him how to fix cars, build things, and work for himself instead of paying people to do those things for us. He would probably describe me as busy. I always am doing something, wanting to do something, or planning something.

{3} You had a really silly fight. Embarrassing silly. What was it about?

     Oh God, we have SO many silly little fights. Usually it's fighting about self confidence issues or plans he doesn't tell me.

{4} In three sentences (and only three!), describe where you both hope to be in 5 years.

     I hope I'm graduated from college and have a job in bridal. I hope he has a job that's at least as good as the one he has now. I hope we will be married by then.

{5} Tell us something about him we wouldn't know from reading your blog.

     He is super duper obsessed with cars and bikes. From the first day he came to my house I've known that. He was pushing me on my swing and the second he heard my neighbors show car, he stopped dead in his tracks. completely weird but adorbs.

{6} What's one thing you never thought you'd do in front of him but you did?

     I never thought I would sing in front of him. People tell me I'm an okay singer but I've never felt comfortable singing around anyone. Ever. So when I sent him a video of myself singing, I shocked even myself.

Why I've Slacked Off, But Didn't Really.

So, what have I been up to that I was too busy to call, blog, or even hang out with friends?

A LOT. 

Let me tell you, right here, is one hard-working girl. 

Two weeks is what it took to do this massive project. 

Curious yet? 

We laid a Patio. It still isn't done. We still need to add the fire pit. 

First, we had to cut up the grass and roll it. We used it to cover up some areas where grass wasn't growing. Can't even tell it isn't supposed to be there!

 That's my honey taking a rest on the steps & his daddy (my future father-in-law!) leveling the cracker-dust, (6 tons of it!) so that we could start using the tamper.

 Does anyone know just how hard it is to level out the ground?! And it has to be just right so that the pavers lay flat and so there aren't any random bumps or curves in the patio.

 Yes, that is me, using a tamper. We used to to pack in the cracker dust.

 He was a good supervisor even though I didn't need it. I'm just that good. 

That, and if I wasn't good, I wouldn't get paid in my numerous root beer floats!

 Over the course of two weeks, we worked day and night, non-stop so that we could get all the pavers laid.

 The circle was by far the hardest part of all. We struggled to find out how to square it off.

 Obviously, we did a pretty good job. We tamped it down again to pack sand through it and then we were done. Until we put together the rock fire pit!

 On a final note: Look how adorable the fiance is when he's cheesin' it up. Adorbs!

Love Letters of Great Men!

It's been forever since I've blogged, let alone created something, but I was inspired today.

Inspired by the Sex and the City movie. 

Not Mr. Big this time, although he's the perfect man, right?

But really though, remember the Love Letters of Great Men? Gets me every time. 

I found a few chalkboard fonts and chalkboard backgrounds and made 'em on up.

Blog Hoppin' Take Two!

I was so disappointed with the last blog hop that I participated in.

I commented as much as I could, I followed people, and I made sure my buttons were accessible. 

I got nothing. 

AT ALL.

So, I am going to try it again.

Soakin' and Sippin'

Morning lovelies!
A few nights ago, my lovely partner in crime and I had a lovely idea:
Instead of me buying my tumblers, why don't we try making them?
Uhm, hello. I had no idea how easy it is.

 I got some mason jars and headed to Wal-Mart.
There, I got some tumbler straws, they aren't the hard ones, they are jelly, which I like more.
I grabbed some pretty duct tape, after searching for a ton of ribbon and never found anything I liked.
(Thanks for being patient, honey!)
And we headed on home.
Jase took the tumblers out to the garage and drilled holes in the top of the mason jars so we could fit the straws inside of them, while I went to town on the duct tape.
If I couldn't find ribbon I liked, the tape would have to do. I made my bows.
The final result:

 People have already asked me if they could buy them. I am seriously considering this.

I had a few mason jars left, so of course I needed to find another use.
I have been reading on Pinterest about this detox bath and decided to give it a try.
LOVE. IT. TO. PIECES.
I decided I just had to have the ingredients measured and ready to go any time I wanted one.

I swear by it. And while you're here, let me give you a printout of the recipe!

Etsy lovin', wedding edition.

A few days ago, I did a feature of my favorite items/people in the Etsy world.

I focused more on items that were something I could splurge on and use whenever, never did I think to do a full on search for one of the most important days of my life.

I was SHOCKED at the amount of wedding items I found.

There were the most beautiful to-do lists from GrandmasLittleLilly.

I have to be organized and it HAS to be pretty!

I loved all of the decorations.

BlessHerHeartDesigns hit it head on with this one. I LOVE wooden letters and chevron. 

The burlap rosette was irresistible, too!

The items from theartsyhippie were a little more expensive, but a girl can dream.

The rosettes are a must. 

I love lace and burlap. Enough said.

I loved mudpiesandmarigolds items. 

Simple and oh so sweet!

There were SO many bridesmaids gifts that are cheaper than anywhere else.

There was even something cute for Daddy.

Not to mention you are helping a small business, nothing is better than that.

I had a seriously long over-due trip to Target last week, I was going through some SERIOUS withdrawal. 

During that wonderful visit, I found some of the best little treasures, treasures that only I, 

or someone with a similar taste, would love.

This, is what I picked up:

Two four packs of pens for $2.

Each had a different pattern and color, so I had to have two sets.

Two four packs of pencils for $2.

Same deal, sorry not sorry. 

Two magazine/file folders for $2.

I could not choose for the life of me between chevron and floral burst so I had to have both.

Thank-You Notes for $1.

Blank Note Cards for $1.

Seriously, guys, NEVER underestimate the power of a handwritten formal note.

Once, a girl I barely knew wrote a thank you note to me for letting her have my A.P. English books.

I will NEVER forget it. I saved it. 

Mini Kleenex Tissues in pretty patterns for 95 cents! 

There were three, in bright colors. Like I couldn't own them!

A pack of paper clips, folder clips, and thumb tacks in pastel colors for $1.

A lovely little $10 spent on organization and office supplies.

Cute ones, to boot!
